WORLD uses a common part numbering system which provides immediate
visibility to what components are in inventory, on-order and of component
movement/ allocation. Commonality of part numbers promotes a consistent
and disciplined approach to execution of plant level planning, purchasing
and production tasks.
WORLD electronics utilizes vertical and horizontal inventory carousels
to store its inventory, thereby increasing storage density, throughput,
and material handling efficiency while reducing inventory and labor
costs.
